To get a learner account and start online tutorials and assessments on Basic Computer Skills, Internet Email, Windows and more:
- Sign Up as a learner on the Northstar website
- Enter your First Name, Last Name and Email Address
- Check the box for I’m not a robot
- Click Sign up
You will receive an email with next steps. If you need help getting an email address or setting up your learner account, please ask a library staff member or contact the library. You can also find information on how to sign up in the Northstar Online Learning Manual.
Once you’ve logged in, click on each topic to Start Practice (complete an online training) or to Take Assessment (to test your skills without practicing first).
Just want to test your skills in a variety of tech topics without creating an account? Go to Take an Assessment, and you can check your knowledge in a variety of technology topics, including:
