Everybody Reads: The Sounds of Afrofuturism

Check out DJs Omari Jazz, Bryson Mills and Auvie Sinclair, who will take you on a journey to the Black future in electronic music. 

  • Omari Jazz is a composer, producer, and visual artist based in Portland, Oregon, whose music blends ambient textures, downtempo rhythms, and jazz-inflected experimentation. In addition to his debut LP 'Dream Child', Jazz has scored critically acclaimed films (Gaining Ground: The Fight for Black Land), collaborated on high-profile sound design projects (Metro Boomin’s Heroes & Villains, Lil Uzi Vert’s Eternal Atak), and released the eponymous 'Black Decelerant' LP with Contour on renowned label RVNG Intl. With each project, Jazz invites listeners into thoughtfully curated sonic worlds that linger long after the music stops. 
  • Bryson Mills is an electronic music artist, DJ, and synthesizer enthusiast. His music crosses genre boundaries, from Hip Hop to Techno and more, blending the old with the new. He enjoys creating live performances with sets exploring various electronic music styles. His love for synthesizers adds a unique touch to his sound. He keeps pushing the boundaries and invites listeners to explore new musical possibilities
