The library was built for the the East County community, with features like:
- Easy transit access, with the Gresham City Hall MAX station and bus stops just around the corner.
- Underground parking and electric vehicle charging stations.
- A rooftop terrace to read, relax, and connect with your neighbors.
- Two sensory rooms, one geared toward adults and one geared toward kids.
The design team worked with the local community to shape the space. It was designed with you in mind through:
- Input from over 5,000 people, given in 60 different ways.
- Votes from over 550 East County teens to decide the colors for the teen room.
- Partnering with organizations like Black Economic Collective, El Programa Hispano Católico, and IRCO.
