Colors of Our Community: Drop-In Art Studio

Celebrate the East County Library’s grand opening with a drop-in style art room for all ages with The Lamb Art Studio. Up to 20–30 participants can join at a time, with 200 total projects available. Activities range from 15-minute crafts to 1-hour projects. These include stencils, people of different cultures and flags representing Gresham’s diversity. There's also wooden animal painting!

Mariachi Viva México

Enjoy traditional mariachi --"Musica Mexicana."  Enjoy the beautiful and enchanting rhythms and voices as the doors to the East County Library open to the public at 10AM. They will also be playing at the beginning of the ribbon cutting ceremony, which takes place from 9-10am on the North Plaza near the MAX station.

Join us for a laid-back community percussion jam! This casual get-together is open to everyone, whether you've been playing for years or just want to make some noise. Families and kids are welcome, no musical experience needed. A variety of drums and hand percussion instruments will be available for everyone to use! Mini Worlds with Tinker Camp

You’re an explorer and anthropologist and discover a miniature world that everyone else thought was only imaginary. Create a model of your teeny, tiny world so everyone can see with Tinker Camp, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting STEAM education in your community. Use cool materials and tools to design and build a small scale version of whatever you discovered. Tiny rooms in a teeny house? A pint-sized playground? A miniature amusement park?
