Join us at the East County Library Creative Learning Room to make something cool, learn something new, and meet friendly people! Creative Learning staff and volunteers will be present to help you with STEAM based crafts and activities. Some of the creative learning equipment will be unavailable for use during this time.

The Home Grown Heroes are back with Dragon Theater Puppets and Princesses! The villain, Luna Tick, has stolen the moon! Only Rocket Hamster can stop her and all the space bugs in this adventure through the solar system.

Join guitarist and comic creator Brian “The Guitar Sensei” Parham as they share the origin story of The Nullsong Chronicles! Learn about a new world where music is outlawed and young musicians must fight back with sound. Listen to original metal music, view comic pages and explore how creativity can challenge silence and oppression. Experience how music, storytelling and imagination can help people find their voice.

Duo Two Accordions is a unique collaboration between a father and daughter! Maria & Sergei Teleshev are renowned musicians and International accordion champions. This show features popular music from different countries! Enjoy unique sounding button accordions, vocals and dancing. Join one of the most successful and popular groups in the genre.

You’re an explorer and anthropologist and discover a miniature world that everyone else thought was only imaginary. Create a model of your teeny, tiny world so everyone can see with Tinker Camp, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting STEAM education in your community. Use cool materials and tools to design and build a small scale version of whatever you discovered. Tiny rooms in a teeny house? A pint-sized playground? A miniature amusement park?

A creative workshop where art comes to life. Through the figure of Frida Kahlo, participants design and build their own puppet while exploring animation techniques to give it voice, emotion, and stage presence. A journey through the body, identity, and imagination.

Join Ka ʻAha Lāhui O ʻOlekona, Hawaiian Civic Club of Oregon & SW Washington, for an hour of stories and crafts celebrating Native Hawaiian culture and traditions!

This program is intended for children up to six years old with their grown ups.

Paradise of Samoa dance troupe performs colorful and authentic dance and music from the islands of Hawaii,Samoa, Tahiti, New Zealand, Tonga, and Fiji. The show is a "tour of the Pacific Islands", with cultural history narrated between dances. Fun for all ages!

The African and African American experience comes alive for children from birth to age 6 (with their favorite adult/family members). Have fun with books and stories, songs, and movement activities in a positive and affirming environment. Black Storytime builds language and literacy skills your child needs to be ready for kindergarten. Attendance is limited and free tickets are available 15 minutes before storytime.

Improve your reading skills and make a new friend by reading aloud to a therapy dog. The dogs and handlers are from Alliance of Therapy Dogs, Dove Lewis Portland Area Canine Therapy Teams, Paws for Love, and Pet Partners®.
