Black History Month: Black Family Storytime Online
The Black, African, and African American experience comes alive for children from birth to age 6 (with their favorite adult/family members). Have fun with books and stories, songs, and movement activities in a positive and affirming online environment. Black Storytime builds language and literacy skills your child needs to be ready for kindergarten.
A Good Yarn Knitting & Crochet Group
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced knitter, come join the fun as we learn together. All experience levels and ages welcome. Please bring your own supplies.

Graphic Novel Club grades 2-3
Kids in grades 2-3 and their favorite adults are invited to talk about graphic novels and eat snacks! Every meeting includes a short activity related to this month's book. A limited number of books are available for pick up at the library.

K-12 Virtual Tutoring / Tutoría Virtual
Virtual Tutoring is for Multnomah County students in grades K-12 who need support in language arts, math, science or social studies.
We offer three terms a year, each running for 8 weeks.
The student’s weekly appointment will be for 30 minutes on Tuesdays, sometime between 4 and 6 pm. They will be assigned an exact timeslot and tutor prior to the start of the term. These remain the same for the entire term.
Black History Month: Bedtime Stories with Urban Forestry
Kids and their grownups are invited to Black Tree Stories with special guest reader, Gresham Mayor Travis Stovall this Black Heritage Month! We’re going to sing songs, read stories, make art honoring our community ties to nature, and dream of the outdoors. Cozy up for bedtime with Portland Urban Forestry and Gresham Parks!
Registration is required. Registration opens on February 3rd.
Black History Month: From Book to Table
Stones, Bones & Blacked-Eyed Peas presents: Our favorite African American children's books, and the recipes that go along with them. Join chef and owner of Finer Things Events and Catering, Michelle Guinn, along with her daughter, Sable Askew and take a trip back into history.

Get active, get healthy, get fit — all while line dancing, exercising and having fun! Line dance: Move to the beat, feel the energy, and get your steps in without even realizing it! Sistahs4Life brings soulful line dancing all over the Portland metro area.

Space is limited. Every participant (child, teen, or adult) must sign up in advance to reserve a spot. Registration opens three weeks in advance.

Join other Native American families for a welcoming playtime that strengthens cultural connection, shared learning, and builds meaningful relationships. Families experience an exchange of traditions while children build social skills in a safe space where everyone can be themselves.
