Join us for a fun and imaginative LEGO building session. We'll provide the building blocks, you bring the creativity! Ideal for grades K-5, but younger and older siblings are welcome.
Teen drop-in: Get creative at the makerspace!
Calling all teens in grades 6-12! Come make something cool, learn a new skill, and meet friendly people in this teen-focused creative space. Makerspace staff will teach you how to use our tech equipment to design things and express yourself. Project examples include 3D printers, craft cutters, sewing machines, custom t shirts and tote bags, art supplies, and more. All materials are free and provided; just bring yourself and your ideas!
Creative Learning: Maker Club
Tweens and teens are invited to try different tech and maker equipment each week! All materials provided. First come, first served. Recommended for ages 8-14.

Creative Learning: Intro to Laser Cutting with the Glowforge
Learn to design an acrylic keychain in the Glowforge web app, prepare your project for production, and send your creation to the laser cutter! All materials will be provided.

Summer Reading: BUGS!
Portland Insectarium is the city's first museum and zoo dedicated entirely to bugs! In this program there will be a selection of live bugs on display, such as tarantulas, mantises, and scorpions! Some are touchable bugs (roaches, isopods, millipedes), others are preserved insect displays. Toys and other activities will be there to explore, plus experts to answer any questions! Suitable for all ages.
Teens: Zines, T-shirts/Totes, & Buttons with Outlet PDX!
Dive into all things zine with Outlet PDX! In this drop in maker session, we’ll explore the history and different types of zines. We'll give tons of prompts, tips, and inspiration so you can take ideas and turn them into a tangible lovely THING. Make a zine with us! We'll also be doing some pin-back button making and adding vinyl heat transfer to t-shirts or totes.

Come explore science, technology, engineering, math and robotics concepts with Lego STEM kits in a hands-on, fun, and engaging environment. Kids grow their critical thinking, coding, and design skills as a team and gain real-world problem solving experience through a guided, global robotics program, helping them build a better future. For kids ages 6-10.
Summer Reading: Slime Magic with Jess Graff
Who doesn't love slime?! Kids and their caregivers will get weird and wacky as they learn about this delightful chemistry with instructor Jess Graff.
Participants will create their own customized ooey-gooey potions to take home.
