Multnomah County Library and Regional Arts & Culture Council announce renowned sculpture artists for Albina, North Portland and Midland libraries
PORTLAND, OR. —Multnomah County Library (MCL) and the Regional Arts & Culture Council (RACC) are continuing their efforts to bring community-centered artwork to libraries throughout Multnomah County. This work is part of the voter-approved 2020 Library building bond which will build, rebuild or expand nine library buildings. Smaller upgrades to 11 libraries are also underway as part of the Refresh projects.

A new Northwest Library

Multnomah County Library is breaking ground on one of its exciting new buildings. Northwest Library is moving to a new location, going from a leased space at 2300 NW Thurman to 2030 NW Pettygrove Street. This new location will be around 11,000 square feet, more than twice the size of the current building at 4,700 square feet.

PORTLAND, Ore. — May 21, 2024 A member of the public reserved Central Library’s Community Room 1A on May 24, from noon to 1 pm with the following detail: “May 24th is the 10-year anniversary of the Radfems Respond event held at Central Library, this is an anniversary event centered on the past ten years of women's rights.” The library reviewed the application using the same criteria and policies it considers in all community room use applications and determined it was an allowable use of the meeting room.
