Volunteer for the Library Advisory Board

Help shape the future of Multnomah County Library by volunteering for the Library Advisory Board. The Library Advisory Board is an important part of the library's governance, advising the Library Director and Multnomah County Library District Board on budgetary and policy decisions.

Interested community members are welcome to apply at any time for current or future openings on the board. Each spring the board reviews applications and conducts interviews. New board members begin their terms in July. Library lovers with past civic or board experience are especially encouraged to apply.

You can find more information about the Library Advisory Board on the library's governance web page. If you are interested in serving, please apply online.

The Library Advisory Board meets the second Tuesday of each month (any rescheduled dates noted below) at 7:30 a.m. The location for each meeting is listed below. These meetings are open to the public.

Note: If you have a disability and need accommodations for meetings, please call 503.988.5123 or 711. Please give 48 hours notice to allow us to better serve you.
