Vanport: A Community on The Move

Wed May 28
6:30 PM - 7:30 PM

Join the historians from Oregon Black Pioneers to learn about the community of Vanport, a city that build the ships for World War II. Once the second-largest city in Oregon with a thriving Black community, it was washed away in the Memorial Day flood of 1948.

Made possible by The National Endowment for the Humanities Fund of The Library Foundation.
