Summer Reading: Henna for Teens with Kaniz Shah

Sun Jul 26
2:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Step into the colorful world of henna temporary body art — a very old tradition practiced across South Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. First we'll learn about the history and culture of henna art. Next there will be a demonstration for how to mix natural henna into a paste. Once we've learned how to make beginner-friendly designs, we'll apply the henna to our own hands. We will also learn how henna can be developed into a creative skill that may lead to small business or event opportunities.

No prior art experience is needed. Class includes all materials and a certificate upon completion. This class is intended for teens. First come, first served.
