Join Renée Roman Nose, award-winning author and poet, for a poetry workshop. Renée has held workshops across America and Canada, guiding others to find their own, unique voice. In this class, you will learn how to dig deep, to perform in a confident manner and to share the messages of your poetry in a fun, caring and interesting way.

Family Playtime
Play and learning go hand in hand. Join other families in a fun playtime at the library with books, toys, music, and all the room you need to learn through play. As Mr. Rogers said, "... for children play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood."
Tiny Tots
One-year-olds (with a favorite adult) enjoy songs, movement activities, rhymes, books and playtime. This action-packed program engages new walkers in language-based activities. Attendance is limited and free tickets are available 15 minutes before storytime.

Volunteers of America at Midland Library
Come meet with Volunteers of America at the library! Get help with housing, shelter, behavioral and mental health in a safe space. Talk about family safety, re-entry from the criminal justice system and more with members of the community!
This program is first come, first served - no reservations required.
Book Babies
Babies from birth to 12 months (with a favorite adult) enjoy songs, action rhymes, and playtime, with bonus socialization for babies and the adults. Attendance is limited and available on a first come, first served basis.
