Troutdale Library to close June 21 for vital, refresh updates

Library will receive new carpeting and furniture

PORTLAND, Ore.– June 13, 2024

Troutdale Library will close to the public on June 21 to start on a series of bond-funded improvements. Project teams expect the work to last until fall 2024.

Multnomah County Library is building, expanding and renovating library spaces for the public as a result of the voter-approved 2020 Library building bond. This year, the library system will see a dramatic reinvention by building and expanding five libraries and a series of Refresh projects to libraries across the system, requiring a series of temporary library closures. Also underway is the incredible new East County Library, an approximately 95,000 square foot destination library. Work is speeding ahead on this new building, built from the ground up in a convenient location for all East County residents.

The work at Troutdale Library is a continuation of the Refresh projects, providing smaller but still important upgrades to 10 libraries.
