Petals and Thorns Poetry Workshop: Anatomy of a Poem, is a workshop that was created for novice and seasoned writers and poets who are interested in exploring the craft of poetry. No need to have been an English major or a paid author, to declare yourself a poet! Come be in community, get those thoughts out and share your love of expression! During the workshop, participants will take a deeper look at literary devices/tools and artistic choices used to craft poetry. Participants will be given time to begin their own poem, using topics discussed in class as writing prompts.

Looking to hone your birding skills? Want to learn ways to attract more birds to your outdoor space? Join Nature Nerd Expeditions for an afternoon with the birds. In this adult birding class you will learn I.D. tips and tricks that'll help you identify a bird faster and more accurately. You will also learn some basic landscaping and feeding tips that'll help you attract more bird species to your outdoor space. Bring a notebook and binoculars if you have them.

We will be spending a portion of the class practicing our birding skills in a neighboring city park.

Learn to play the ukulele with the band Micah and Me. We bring 23 ukuleles (you are welcome to bring your own) and you bring your enthusiasm! We bring scarves and blow-up guitars for the littles to play.

In this class all ages are welcome, although kids 10 years and older are most likely to learn how to play the ukulele.
