What is My Discovery Pass?

My Discovery Pass is a partnership between Multnomah County Library and other local organizations to offer free educational and cultural experiences to Multnomah County Library cardholders. My Discovery Pass provides online access to free tickets donated by local cultural attractions. Passes are limited by availability.
 

How do I get a pass?

Log in with your library card number and password and browse for passes by date or venue. Passes are limited. If you find a pass, make your reservation and print or download your pass shortly before your visit. Remember that once you print or download your pass you cannot cancel your reservation.

Participating Attractions

Artists Repertory Theatre: Pass admits two adults. After reserving your pass, contact the Box Office to redeem tickets. Tickets are not transferrable to any other performance date or ticket holder. 

Boom Arts: Pass admits two people. After reserving your pass, email info@boomarts.org to confirm availability.

Friends of Chamber Music: Pass admits two adults. After reserving your pass, call 503.224.9842 at least one week prior to the date of the event to secure tickets for your reserved seats.

Japanese American Museum of Oregon: This pass admits two people. Children 11 and under are free.

Hand2Mouth Theatre: Pass admits two adults, subject to availability. After reserving your pass, email mail@hand2mouththeatre.org to confirm availability.

Literary Arts: Pass admits two adults. 

Northwest Children’s Theater and School: Pass admits two people. After reserving your pass, call the box office at 503.222.2190, Option 1, to reserve your seats.

OMSI: Pass admits two people. Your name will be given to the front desk to redeem your tickets.

Orchestra Nova Northwest: Pass admits two people. After reserving your pass, call 503.234.4077 at least one week prior to the date on your pass to reserve your two General Admission tickets.

Oregon Jewish Museum and Center for Holocaust Education: Pass admits four people. Children 12 and under are always free.

Oregon Koto-Kai: Pass admits two people. After reserving your pass, follow the instructions listed to redeem your tickets.

Oregon State Parks: Pass serves as a one-day parking permit honored at all 25 Oregon state parks that charge a parking fee. 10 passes per library card are allowed per year but the 2 passes at a time reservation limit applies.

Portland Art Museum: Pass admits two adults for general admission. Children 17 and under are always free. 

Portland Center Stage at The Armory: Pass admits two people. After reserving your pass, contact the Box Office to redeem tickets. Tickets are not transferable to any other performance date or ticket holder, and subject to availability.

Portland Japanese Garden: Pass admits two adults (age 18 and up) and eight children (age 17 and under). Children 5 and under are always free. This pass is eligible for Garden admission only and does not include access to any ticketed events. After reserving your pass, please call 503.223.1321 or email membership@japanesegarden.org to confirm availability.

Portland Opera:  Pass admits two adults. After reserving your pass, follow the instructions provided with the pass. Tickets are not transferrable to any other performance date or ticket holder. 

Rose City Comic Con: Single day and 3-day badges. After reserving your pass, follow the instructions provided with the pass. Tickets are not transferable to any other performance date or ticket holder.

Frequently Asked Questions

Go to My Discovery Pass and log in with your Multnomah County Library card number and password.

For most attractions, you may reserve one pass per attraction per calendar year. You may reserve up to two overall passes at a time.

  • No passes are currently available. Check back on the first of the month.
  • You already have two active reservations.
  • You already used up your passes for the year. Check back on January 1.
  • No passes are currently available for your age.

General Admission Passes (Museums & Attractions): Released on a two-month rolling schedule on the 1st of every month. For example, on January 1, passes become available for both January and February.

Special Event Passes (Theater, Concerts & Date-Specific Events): Released up to 3 weeks prior to the event date—or in some cases, on the event's opening night.

  • You've mistyped your library card number or entered the wrong password. You will get an "unable to authenticate" error message. Please try again or update your password.
  • You have $50 or more in charges.
  • You are trying to use a card from a different library as part of the library passport program.
