Hey teens, warm up your body with healthy savory soups. Learn how to make different soups in a pressure cooker, in a blender and in a pot with chef Edurne Garcia-Andre. Samples will be given at the end of the program. This program is for teens!

Join the fun with Giggles for a workshop to explore the world of juggling! The workshop will include a 5-10 minute juggling demonstration and a 45-50 minute hands on workshop. All supplies will be provided! Fyre, also known as Giggles, is a two-spirit multidisciplinary artist based in Portland. Best for ages 6+.

Join us for a bilingual program taught by Corazón Utilitarian Handcrafts. You will paint handmade clay butterflies and learn about Mexican arts and their influence on Latiné cultures. We’ll explore the butterfly’s significance in Mexican culture: a symbol of transformation and global migration. Come celebrate the role of art as a therapeutic practice. All cultures are welcome.

This Sunday, we're celebrating the season of curling up with a good book and making some extraordinarily cute bookmarks! Join SCRAP Creative Reuse to celebrate your new library with a handmade keepsake. We've got all sorts of creative ideas to offer—collage your custom creation using old book pages, magazine clippings, vintage postage stamps, sheet music, tissue paper, and so much more.

Learn to felt a sea unicorn! In this beginner level class, LeBrie will teach you how to felt a friendly narwhal. All levels welcome, all materials provided. Let’s craft together!

Whether you are a beginner or an experienced knitter, come join the fun as we learn together. All experience levels and ages welcome. Please bring your own supplies.

Virtual Tutoring is for Multnomah County students in grades K-12 who need support in language arts, math, science or social studies. 

We offer three terms a year, each running for 8 weeks.

The student’s weekly appointment will be for 30 minutes on Tuesdays, sometime between 4 and 6 pm. They will be assigned an exact timeslot and tutor prior to the start of the term. These remain the same for the entire term.

Dive into all things zine with Outlet PDX! In this workshop we’ll explore the history and different types of zines. We'll also talk about where to find and share them along with different zine formats. We’ll also spend some time actually DEFINING what a zine is for those who are new to this amazing medium! We'll give tons of prompts, tips, and inspiration so you can take ideas and turn them into a tangible lovely THING.

What will you create? Bring your ideas and make them a reality! Join us at the Rockwood Library makerspace to make something cool, learn a new skill, and meet friendly people.
