Every Child A Reader program coordinators present one hour early literacy information for parents or implementers at each partner site, or a two hour event at a neighborhood library, delivering face-to-face education on early brain development, reading aloud strategies, the five early literacy practices and corresponding activities. The presentations can be delivered in English and Spanish as well as in Chinese, Vietnamese, and Russian.
We know that books alone cannot drive change and parents need literacy information, motivation and reading role models. Our Every Child A Reader literacy presentation can help parents feel empowered and confident to read books with their children every day.
