Vanport: A Community on The Move

Join the historians from Oregon Black Pioneers to learn about the community of Vanport, a city that build the ships for World War II. Once the second-largest city in Oregon with a thriving Black community, it was washed away in the Memorial Day flood of 1948.

Toddlers (with a favorite adult) enjoy interactive stories, songs and games that encourage their emerging language skills. Attendance is limited and free tickets are available 15 minutes before storytime.
