For you a rose in Portland grows: A Rose Festival retrospective

Portland’s love of the rose goes back to the late 1880s, with the first Rose Show in Georgiana Pittock’s backyard. These events evolved, and in 1907, Portland celebrated the first annual Rose Festival. Explore the history of Portland’s most prominent annual celebration through an exhibit curated by the City of Portland Archives and with featured items contributed by the Rose Festival Foundation.

Dates: May 25th-June 30th
