Juneteenth: Black Superheroes Craft Fair

This Juneteenth we are celebrating freedom and the fight for justice with a Black Superheroes Craft Fair! Black Superheroes make the world a better place for everyone, so join us for a fun afternoon of crafting in your favorite superhero costume! In this Black Superheroes Craft Fair, we will have superhero button making and cape and mask decorating. Then try out the laser maze and take a picture at our superhero photobooth!

Cosplay Armsock Crafting with Black Bettie & Azimedes

Calling all Teens in grades 6-12! Want to level up your costume with fake tattoos or body paint, but don't want to get messy? Join us for a crafty afternoon to make your own cosplay arm sock. This workshop is presented by our friends Black Bettie Cosplay and Azimedes Cosplay, who have loads of experience in crafting their own costumes using fabrics, stenciling, heat transfer vinyl, and all sorts of other DIY fun.

Registration opens June 4th.

Hip-Hop A Performance and History

Mic Crenshaw is a world-class Hip-Hop and spoken word artist who has toured extensively in Africa, the U.S and Europe. He has a deep knowledge of the history of Hip-Hop both nationally and locally.

Join Indigenous staff members in making craft kits in honor of Missing Murdered Indigenous Women & Relatives. The kits will include a variety of items that we will work on together such as making lanyards for protection whistles & keychain flashlights, and decorating red bandanas & medicine bags with paint pens.

This event will take place in Community Room 1A. Registration is required for this event (walk-ins accepted if supplies and space is available). Space limited to 20 attendees.
