K-12 Virtual Tutoring / Tutoría Virtual
Virtual Tutoring is for students in grades K-12 who need support in language arts, math, science or social studies.
We offer three terms a year, each running for 8 weeks.
The student’s weekly appointment will be for 30 minutes on Tuesdays, sometime between 4 and 6 pm. They will be assigned an exact timeslot and tutor prior to the start of the term. These remain the same for the entire term.
Our tutors are limited and we cannot guarantee a spot. You can register here and someone will be in touch with more information. If you have further questions, please contact the program coordinator, Jackie Partch, at jacquelp@multcolib.org or text to 971.500.1733. Library virtual programs are a public space. We try to keep these spaces as safe as possible. Participants may be asked to identify themselves either through camera, chat, or by unmuting. This program is intended for children and teens. Babies from birth to 12 months (with a favorite adult) enjoy songs, action rhymes, and playtime and share a book together in each lively Book Babies session. Book Babies gives your baby the opportunity to hear lots of language while you get to know other young families.
Multnomah County Library storytimes are supported by gifts made to The Library Foundation.
Attendance is limited; free tickets available 15 minutes before storytime.
Preschool Sensory Storytime
This preschool storytime is especially welcoming for children ages 3-5 and families who are looking for a smaller, more adaptive library experience.
Our social stories can help children prepare for attending storytime by learning what to expect through images and text. Click on your location from the list of locations to read your library’s "Preschool Sensory Storytime social story" or read the Sensory Storytime Online social story.
