Bird watching is a wonderful way to exercise, explore nature, and make new friends. Kids will learn from a local expert birder and educator about the basics of birding, including how to I.D. local species, how to use binoculars, and how to stay safe when out in nature. You'll have the chance to make your own binoculars and use them in a nearby park to start your own birding adventure!

Celebrate Juneteenth with us by enjoying a musical performance that will take you on a journey from blues to jazz to hip hop... all through percussion! Kids Junk Orchestra provides an interactive history of percussion music that travels across the world. Discover the origins of our favorite rhythms, from their cultural beginnings to the present day!

Kids will love making noise with Kids Junk Orchestra! Through the use of non-conventional items such as buckets and recycled items, youth learn how to create various sounds and rhythms. This class focuses on group cooperation, basic rhythm drumming skills, team building, specialized drumming instruction and a safe environment to perform musically. This event is first-come, first serve.

Recycle leather scraps into works of art in this hands-on class by Purpose Handmade. Collage them together with water-based leather glue onto a wood panel for your wall. Choose from an array of colors and shapes, or cut your own. Add your personal touches by punching holes, tooling, or stamping letters.
