Do you want to be a YouTube star or go viral on TikTok? Up your game and learn the basic techniques of composition, light, audio, editing and storytelling through film. The Rockwood Makerspace and MetroEast Community Media will give you the tools to tell your story.
For teens grades 6-12. Space is limited.
Our Friend, the Earth: Garden Seed Craft
Join us as we create magical seed bombs that you can take home and throw in your yard. Watch the magic unfold as your seeds sprout and bring life to your space. To add even more fun to our journey, we'll read the book 'My Friend Earth' by Patricia MacLachlan. It's a story that will make you fall in love with our incredible planet even more.
Music Class for ages 3 to 6
Come make music! Musician Irina Myachkin's classes encourage creativity and socialization. Kids will sing songs and learn the building blocks for creating music. The main goal of the lesson is to develop children's musical ear, perception and taste, and have fun with music!

Portland’s favorite clown is back with a storytime that is a culturally creative blend of picture books infused with sounds and activities for all.

Lego Club
Join us for a fun and imaginative LEGO building session. We'll provide the building blocks, you bring the creativity! Ideal for grades K-5, but younger and older siblings are welcome.
Preschool Sensory Storytime Online
This preschool storytime is especially welcoming for children and families who are looking for a more adaptive virtual storytime experience.
This program is intended for children and their caregivers. Participants may be asked to identify themselves either through camera, chat, or by unmuting. If you would like to attend as an observer, please contact us at 503.988.5123.
Queer Youth Club
A safe place where ALL are welcome to be themselves. Find support, eat snacks, get creative, discuss favorite books, and more! Bring a friend, or make a new one. For grades 5-8.
Queer Youth Club is a youth-run club for that unites LGBTQIA+ and allied youth during the summer while school GSAs (Genders & Sexualities Alliances) are closed. This club will run from June 18-August 20. Email alecc@multcolib.org for more information.
Black Family Playtime
Play and learning go hand in hand. Join other Black families in a fun playtime at the library with books, toys, music, and all the room you need to learn through play in a positive, affirming environment. As Mr. Rogers said, "... for children play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood."

Do you need some help with your resume? Are you unsure about your choice of words? Struggling to describe your accomplishments? Come meet with an experienced volunteer for a one-on-one review. If you have a paper copy of your resume, please bring it along.
No registration required, drop in during the scheduled time for first come first served help. Sessions are generally 30 minutes.
