Babies from birth to 12 months (with a favorite adult) enjoy songs, action rhymes, and playtime, with bonus socialization for babies and the adults.  

Attendance is limited and free tickets are available 15 minutes before storytime.

Multnomah County Library storytimes are supported by gifts made to The Library Foundation.

Whether you're a music enthusiast eager to learn the art of mixing or a curious individual intrigued by the world of electronic music, this program offers an immersive and hands-on introduction to the craft of DJing.

Improve your reading skills and make a new friend by reading aloud to Sparrow, a therapy dog. You can sign up with a friend or sibling, or read with Sparrow by yourself! Each reading appointment is 15 minutes long.

Practice English or Spanish and help other learners in a friendly atmosphere. Participants speak half the time in English and half in Spanish. Beginners welcome.

Enjoy making a completely handmade bag using artisanal techniques with different types of materials such as fabrics, embroidered ribbons and threads.

This class introduces the concept of poetry and writing with La Toya A. Hampton, aka The Poet Lady Rose, by using stories, music, and activities. Exploring themes such as growing up, self-esteem, feelings, and friendship together makes this a perfect class to meet new friends! The best age groups for this event are from Kindergarten to 2nd grade, or kids 5 to 7 years old.

Are you a high school student unsure about what to pursue in college? Are you struggling with what to write for your college application? This workshop will provide you with the tools to craft your college essay! This will set you on the right path toward applying for your top school. Led by Andrew Petrillo, an ICF-certified coach, this engaging session will guide you through the process with clarity and direction.

Come enjoy music from around the world! Presented by The Orchid Trio, a string trio with violinist Siying Ge, violist Deborah Shuster, and cellist Quinn Liu.

Learn about the process of becoming a citizen in an 11-week series of classes. Prepare for your citizenship interview. Study United States history and government for the examination. Classes are taught by a volunteer from SOAR Legal.

Ofrecemos actividades que promueven la alfabetización temprana, leyendo libros, cantando, jugando y haciendo manualidades. Los padres, hermanos mayores de 6 años y cuidadores son bienvenidos. Este programa se presenta en español. La asistencia es limitada y está disponible por orden de llegada.
