Bigfoot Poetry Festival Open Mics

The Bigfoot Poetry Festival is a three-day poetry event that happens in early summer in downtown Portland. Poetry open mics, writing and performance workshops, poet showcases, an artists market, and a poetry slam tournament.
Family Storytime in ASL and English
Children from birth to age 6 (with a favorite adult) enjoy books, songs, rhymes and movement activities in English with American Sign Language interpretation while building language and literacy skills.
Attendance is limited and available on a first come, first served basis.
Multnomah County Library storytimes are supported by gifts made to The Library Foundation.
Book Babies
Babies from birth to 12 months (with a favorite adult) enjoy songs, action rhymes, and playtime, with bonus socialization for babies and the adults. Attendance is limited and available on a first come, first served basis.

Toddler Storytime
Toddlers (with a favorite adult) enjoy interactive stories, songs and games that encourage their emerging language skills. Attendance is limited and free tickets are available 15 minutes before storytime.

Resources for Self Sufficiency
Sign up for SNAP, TANF, and medical and childcare benefits. Come meet with staff from the Oregon Department of Human Services to get information about targeted services to help people move out of poverty.

Meet one-on-one with a friendly, knowledgeable Tech Helper who will help you find answers to questions about mobile devices, websites, getting started with tech, and more.
Appointments are on a first come, first served basis.

Memory Cafe
Memory Café is a free social event for those with dementia, Alzheimer’s or memory loss, and their families. Come join us for music as well as time to socialize in a welcoming environment.
Note: Family support must be present.

Video Game, Game Show with Dragon Theater Puppets
Two costume characters (like Mario and Peach, Zelda and Link, or Pokemon characters) will run a trivia show. Kids win prizes from the characters!
This event is first come, first served.
Resume Review Drop-in
Do you need some help with your resume? Are you unsure about your choice of words? Struggling to describe your accomplishments? Come meet with an experienced volunteer for a one-on-one review. If you have a paper copy of your resume, please bring it along.
No registration required, drop in during the scheduled time for first come first served help. Sessions are generally 30 minutes.
