Step into spring with an Uplifting and Therapeutic Floral Design Workshop this April! Let the season’s fresh blooms inspire your creativity as you learn to create vibrant, mood-boosting floral arrangements. Toyin from Toyouinspire Flowers will guide you through every step, from selecting the perfect flowers to arranging them with style and flair.

Appointments are on a first come, first served basis.

Springtime can be a true test of our immune system. Discuss trusted herbs to keep on hand for immune support when the first signs of a cold start to appear. Make an herbal honey and herb infused vinegar to take home while tasting different teas with Saundra Kamman of Bloom and Grow Nutrition.

This event will be held in Community Room 1A. Space is limited to 20 registrants.

Do you have one of the many smartphones and devices that run on Google’s Android operating system, like a Samsung or Motorola smartphone or a Chromebook? This class will show you how to get started with your Android device. You’ll learn to:

Build a strong foundation in your educational journey by learning the basics of computer use. Starting with the basics of logging in, to accessing computer settings to personalize the user’s experience; this class offers all computer users valuable information.

Join us for our launch party celebrating the release of The Blue Line Letters by Steven Christiansen, the latest book from Multnomah County Library's Library Writers Project published with Ooligan Press.

The event will be open to the public and will feature an author reading followed by a Q&A session.

Children from birth to age 6 (with a favorite adult) enjoy books, songs, rhymes and movement activities in English with American Sign Language interpretation while building language and literacy skills. 

Attendance is limited and available on a first come, first served basis.

Multnomah County Library storytimes are supported by gifts made to The Library Foundation.

Play and learning go hand in hand. While our storytimes are on break, join other families for a fun playtime (for ages 2-3) with books, toys, music, and all the room you need to learn through play. As Mr. Rogers said, "... for children play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood."

This class introduces the concept of poetry and writing with La Toya A. Hampton, aka The Poet Lady Rose, by using stories, music, and activities. Exploring themes such as growing up, self-esteem, feelings, and friendship together makes this a perfect class to meet new friends! The best age groups for this event are from Kindergarten to 2nd grade, or kids 5 to 7 years old.
