Welcome to an exciting journey into the vibrant world of Nico, the banana slug, and his adventure in Forest Park! In this interactive program, children will not only immerse themselves in the charming story of Nico written by Joeanally Gonzalez but also bring the characters to life through a creative puppet workshop. We will talk about Forest Park's ecosystem and the importance of taking care of it.

What will you create? Bring your ideas and make them a reality with 3D printers, craft cutters, laser cutter, sewing machines, art supplies and more.

For teens in grades 6-12.

Improve your reading skills and make a new friend by reading aloud to a therapy dog. The dogs and handlers are from Alliance of Therapy Dogs, Dove Lewis Portland Area Canine Therapy Teams and Pet Partners®. Call 503.988.5123 to register.

Portland was the birthplace of bands like The Wipers, Neo Boys, The Rat$, Poison Idea, and so many more. Experience Portland's DIY punk music scene (1977-1984) through photos, artifacts, memorabilia, original artwork, flyers, zines . . . and whatever else we dug out of our attics. 

Join us for an online storytime for ages birth - 6 and their favorite adult with fun books, songs, rhymes, and more!

Babies from birth to 12 months (with a favorite adult) enjoy songs, action rhymes, and playtime, with bonus socialization for babies and the adults.

Begin to master the spectrum of capabilities within Microsoft Word, gaining practical formatting skills and an introduction to advanced skills such as design and layout. Students will learn to navigate the tabs and ribbon within Word and understand how to use the tools that word processing software can provide to job seekers and employees in the workforce.

Children ages 1-18 are invited to enjoy free summer lunch at Gresham Library. No reservations/sign-ups required. Lunch may be served hot or cold.

Culturally relevant and identity-supporting "crafternoon" where adults who identify as Two-Spirit/LGBTQ+ can make pride bling with medallions, posters, flags, and learn more about local Two-Spirit resources.

Parent and caregivers and invited to get creative with their children during Family Craft Time. We will be making lavender sachets - add a little calming pouch to your room. Children can create with assistance from their parents and caregivers, or older children work independently alongside them.
