Portland was the birthplace of bands like The Wipers, Neo Boys, The Rat$, Poison Idea, and so many more. Experience Portland's DIY punk music scene (1977-1984) through photos, artifacts, memorabilia, original artwork, flyers, zines . . . and whatever else we dug out of our attics.
Family Storytime
Children from birth to age 6 (with a favorite adult) enjoy books, songs, rhymes and movement activities while building language and literacy skills.
Attendance is limited and available on a first come, first served basis.
Multnomah County Library storytimes are supported by gifts made to The Library Foundation.
Music and Dance
Enjoy songs, rhymes, rhythm and dance in this active program for children ages 0 to 6 and their parents or caregivers.

Lego Club
Join us for a fun and imaginative LEGO building session. We'll provide the building blocks, you bring the creativity! Ideal for grades K-5, but younger and older siblings are welcome.
Preschool Sensory Storytime
This preschool storytime is especially welcoming for children ages 3-5 and families who are looking for a smaller, more adaptive library experience.
Book Babies
Babies from birth to 12 months (with a favorite adult) enjoy songs, action rhymes, and playtime, with bonus socialization for babies and the adults.
Attendance is limited and free tickets are available 15 minutes before storytime.

Teen Anime Club
Do you love anime? Are you in middle school or high school? If so, join our Anime Club! We meet to discuss our favorite series, watch anime and eat snacks. We can talk about manga, do anime crafts, and more!

Practique inglés o español y ayude a los demás que están aprendiendo en un ambiente amable. Los participantes hablan la mitad del tiempo en inglés y la otra en español. Están bienvenidos los principiantes.
Practice English or Spanish and help other learners in a friendly atmosphere. Participants speak half the time in English and half in Spanish. Beginners welcome.

What will you create? Bring your ideas and make them a reality with 3D printers, craft cutters, laser cutter, sewing machines, art supplies and more. Space is limited and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Sign-ups start outside the makerspace at 1:30. No advance registration.
Children in fifth grade or under must be accompanied by an attentive adult or teen.
The Super Silly Circus!
Kids will love this puppet show from Dragon Theater Puppets and Princesses! The Ringmaster tries to have the greatest circus on the earth. But everything goes wrong, the elephants keep falling over, the lion is on the loose and the clowns run amuck. But the show must go on. They must find a way to renew and repeat the acts correctly. In the end they will find out how to recycle and save the circus.
Clownin' Around with Nikki Brown Clown
Portland’s favorite clown is back with a storytime that is a culturally creative blend of picture books infused with sounds and activities for all.
Participation is encouraged, and all ages are welcome!
Hora de Cuentos
¡Vengan a disfrutar y divertirse en este programa interactivo para niños de 0 a 6 años! Ofrecemos actividades que promueven la alfabetización temprana, leyendo libros, cantando, jugando y haciendo manualidades. Los padres de familia, hermanos mayores de 6 años y cuidadores son bienvenidos. Este programa se presenta en español.

Practice your new reading skills! Each week you'll listen to a story, practice reading with a teen volunteer. This program is especially for kindergartners to second graders. Register here.
