Portland was the birthplace of bands like The Wipers, Neo Boys, The Rat$, Poison Idea, and so many more. Experience Portland's DIY punk music scene (1977-1984) through photos, artifacts, memorabilia, original artwork, flyers, zines . . . and whatever else we dug out of our attics.

Join us for a screening of Northwest Passage: The Birth of Portland's DIY Culture. Northwest Passage is an independent film that examines the exciting alternative music movement in Portland, Oregon from 1978 to 1983. Directed and produced by video pioneer Mike Lastra, the film is a narrative told by musicians and artists via interviews, performances on video, photographs and vintage news clips.
