Event Description:

Join us for a fun and imaginative LEGO building session. We'll provide the building blocks, you bring the creativity! Ideal for grades K-5, but younger and older siblings are welcome.

Teens in grades 6-12: have you always wanted to learn how to use a sewing machine? In this three-hour workshop, participants will learn how to sew a custom tote bag from a professional fashion instructor. Skills covered: how to thread a sewing machine, perform a basic straight stitch, and sew handles into a bag. Participants can select from a variety of sizes and shapes, using fabric with fun colors and patterns.

Learn to prepare an existing model for 3D printing on one of the library's Bambu X1 Carbon printers, then start experimenting with 3D modeling. All materials will be provided.

Tweens and teens in grades 5 - 8, come craft with us! All materials provided

Work on the DIY craft of the week, create your own project with the library's craft materials, or bring a project from home that you've been working on - art journal, embroidery project, book bedazzling, whatever's your thing! Sew, paint, glue, make, design; the sky's your limit.

Use a Glowforge laser cutter to engrave and cut designs out of acrylic or wood, with assistance from staff and volunteers. No experience needed! A selection of laser-safe materials will be available for you to use.
