The African and Black American experience comes alive for children from birth to age 6 (with their favorite adult/family members). Have fun with books and stories, songs, and movement activities in a positive and affirming environment. Black Storytime builds language and literacy skills your child needs to be ready for kindergarten. Attendance is limited and available on a first come, first served basis.

Play and learning go hand in hand. While our storytimes are on break, join other families for a fun playtime (for ages 2-3) with books, toys, music, and all the room you need to learn through play. One-year-olds (with a favorite adult) enjoy songs, movement activities, rhymes, books and playtime. This action-packed program engages new walkers in language-based activities. Attendance is limited and free tickets are available 15 minutes before storytime.

Do you have knitting and/or crocheting projects that you’d love to get finished? Or new ones you want to start? Please join us for this social group on Tuesdays for yarn work and fun! Intermediate and more advanced crafters are welcome.

Every participant (child, teen, or adult) must sign up in advance to reserve a spot. No library card required. All materials are provided. Registration opens three weeks in advance.

What will you create? Bring your ideas and make them a reality! Join us at the Rockwood Library makerspace to make something cool, learn a new skill, and meet friendly people.

Join us for a fun and imaginative LEGO building session. We'll provide the building blocks, you bring the creativity! Ideal for grades K-5, but younger and older siblings are welcome.
