A new temporary library location will serve residents in St. Johns while the historic library building is closed for expansion and improvements, beginning on Saturday May 17.
The temporary location, at 8191 N Lombard St., Unit 110, is part of The Union at St. Johns complex, next to the existing library. The space will offer holds pickup, returns, a Lucky Day collection, free printing, faxing, scanning, and Wi-Fi. Library staff will be available during standard operating hours to offer online and in-person library services.
The May 17 opening will follow tenant improvements and the installation of furniture, equipment and technology. In the meantime, St. Johns patrons and others can use temporary services like the Mobile Library, which will continue to provide service in St. Johns at N Central St. and N Charleston Ave. like returns, a small browsing collection, computers, Wi-Fi and more.
