Each intern position has specific qualifications that need to be met.
For all positions candidates must be:
- 18 years or older
- Currently enrolled in a related MLS degree program
- Able to provide professor contact information
- Able to meet the working hour requirements for each position
All candidates meeting the minimum qualifications will be contacted and required to submit the following:
- A current resume
- A 1-page cover letter explaining why you are applying for the specific internship and what you are hoping to learn through this experience.

Job shadows are based on the time and availability of the Multnomah County Library staff by locations and individual needs for the each job shadow request. Priority is given to individuals that are in need of meeting academic requirements for course work.
