PORTLAND, Ore. — September 11, 2024 — Fall at Multnomah County Library brings cultural celebrations that are free for all ages and fun to enjoy! This September, come and celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival, followed by Hispanic and Latiné Heritage Month. Then in November, honor Native American Heritage Month. Plus, listen in and join in moving author talks and community events.
"This fall, the lineup of events we have at the library is incredible! We're offering a range of programs that include musical presentations for the multiple heritage months, crafting programs, and engaging author talks. Each event was thoughtfully developed and curated with the help of staff that have specific language and cultural expertise," says Library Community Services Director, Jennifer Studebaker. "We hope that when people attend these festivities, they feel empowered and connected to their communities. There is something here for everyone, and we hope you can come!”
Mid-Autumn Festival
- The Orchid Trio presents song and dance around the world at Multnomah County Library at University of Oregon, September 13, 4–5 pm
- Mid-Autumn Festival at Holgate Library, September 14, 3–5 pm
