Black Cowboys & Black Ranchers with Oregon Black Pioneers

Mié Nov 5
6:00 PM - 7:00 PM

Black cowboys and ranchers have been a significant part of the cattle and rodeo industries since the nineteenth century. Their contributions and experiences are often overlooked in the broader narrative, though. This presentation aims to shed light on the lesser-known history of Black individuals in the range and at rodeos throughout Oregon.
