Volunteer for the Library Advisory Board
Help shape the future of Multnomah County Library by volunteering for the Library Advisory Board. The Library Advisory Board is an important part of the library's governance, advising the Library Director and Multnomah County Library District Board on budgetary and policy decisions.
Interested community members are welcome to apply at any time for current or future openings on the board. Each spring the board reviews applications and conducts interviews. New board members begin their terms in July. Library lovers with past civic or board experience are especially encouraged to apply.
You can find more information about the Library Advisory Board on the library's governance web page. If you are interested in serving, please apply online. Youth interested in joining should complete this application.
Library Advisory Board meetings are currently held virtually. Meeting dates and times will be published below as they are determined. These meetings are open to the public and information on how to observe them is linked in each meeting agenda.
If you wish to submit written comments to the Library Advisory Board, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and include your name, the corresponding meeting date, comment topic, and your comments (all four fields are required for public comment). Please note that comments are public record.
Note: If you have a disability and need accommodations for meetings, please call 503.988.5123 or 711. Please give 48 hours notice to allow us to better serve you.
