This year, we are offering our Read 4 Life Adult Summer Reading game to play online on your computer or smart phone.
How to play
Over the summer, read or listen to four books that match an activity in Read 4 Life. It’s that simple, four books. There will be a link to play the Read 4 Life game on this page starting June 15.
Another way to play
If you can’t get to a computer this summer, you can still participate in Read 4 Life. Just keep a written list of four books and authors that you read, starting June 15. Put your name, contact information and “Read 4 Life 2020” on your list. Then you can mail, call us, or turn your list into the library once we’re open. If you get your list of four books to us by August 31, 2020, we’ll enter your name and four tickets - one for each book you read -- into the prize drawings.
You receive one ticket for each book you read. You can use the tickets online to enter your name into a prize drawing for a $50 gift card. There are three types of gift cards: Fred Meyer, Starbucks, or Powell’s Books.
When you've finished four books and entered four tickets into the prize drawings, you have completed the Read 4 Life challenge. The drawings for prizes will be held after September 1, 2020.
- You may play the game only once.
- You can earn only four tickets total.
- You can play the online Read 4 Life game or turn in a paper list, but not both.
- If your name is drawn as a prize winner, you can only win one prize maximum.
- This game is for adult readers. If you are in high school, we have a teen game just for you.
- The game ends August 31, 2020
- You must be a Multnomah County resident to qualify as a prize winner.
