Every Child A Reader
Every Child A Reader builds on the American Library Association's Every Child Ready to Read® @ your library® initiative. This program helps families prepare their children to read by doing five daily practices: reading, talking, singing, writing and playing.
School Corps
The library’s School Corps staff help students in grades K-12 succeed in school and improve their reading by facilitating access to library materials and showing students how to use public library resources.

Celebrate Hispanic and Latiné Heritage at Multnomah County Library from September 15 to October 15. This cultural month honors the diversity of the Latin American community and its many contributions. Visit a library location to learn about events, book displays and activities.

Woodstock Library history
The current Woodstock Library building of 7,500 sq. ft. opened in 2000, replacing a smaller library on the same site. The library building received numerous awards for its elegant and functional design, including a national honor from the American Institute of Architects and the American Library Association.
Mail-order house plan and design catalogs
Some houses are custom-designed by an architect, for a specific site. But most houses weren’t built that way. During the 20th century, many houses were built from plans that the owner or builder purchased from a catalog. Some houses came as “kits,” with plans and a complete set of building materials cut to size and ready to assemble.
Library Connect: Information for parents & educators
Library Connect provides free Multnomah County Library accounts for students using their student ID number as their library card. Library Connect accounts give access to physical and digital materials.
