Mysterious, unusual, organic, vivid, well-written, otherworldly - those are all words that would draw me in if I saw them on a book jacket. I enjoy reading fiction, SF, and fantasy, as well as nonfiction related to nature, art, and science, and books with interesting illustrations. I spent many years working with children’s books and still enjoy reading picture books.
When I’m not reading I like to spend my time exploring dramatic landscapes, observing hummingbirds, and attempting to cultivate any plant that looks like it might have sprung from the pages of the Voynich manuscript.
