Whether you are a beginner or an experienced knitter, come join the fun as we learn together. All experience levels and ages welcome. Please bring your own supplies.

Come to the Central Library and play some fun games like Mario Kart, Overcooked, board games, card games, and more! For ages 13-18.

Teens grades 6 through 12 are welcome to join teen librarian Chloë for an afternoon of creative exploration in the large conference room at Gresham. The Rockwood makerspace will be bringing a small collection of creative tools — make a vinyl sticker, sew a pillow, play with electronics. It’s your choice! What is STEAM? It stands for Science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics.

A safe place where ALL are welcome to be themselves. Find support, eat snacks, get creative, discuss favorite books, and more! Bring a friend, or make a new one. For grades 5-8.

Queer Youth Club is a youth-run club for that unites LGBTQIA+ and allied youth during the summer while school GSAs (Genders & Sexualities Alliances) are closed. This club will run from June 18-August 20. Email alecc@multcolib.org for more information.

Kids will love making noise with Kids Junk Orchestra! Through the use of non-conventional items such as buckets and recycled items, youth learn how to create various sounds and rhythms. This class focuses on group cooperation, basic rhythm drumming skills, team building, specialized drumming instruction and a safe environment to perform musically. This event is first-come, first serve.

Experiment with new creative tools! This summer we're featuring the Silhouette Cameo Craft cutter, which lets you make stickers, pop-up cards, heat transfer vinyl designs, and more. Other creative materials for drawing, making buttons and stickers, and creating items with 3D pens will be available as well.

For teens in grades 6-12.

Join us for an intro class to DIY punk rock patch making. We will learn a bit about the history of Portland's punk scene, the art of patch making, and get hands on experience making patches. All supplies will be provided, including fabric and paint, but feel free to bring any scrap fabric you might want to use as well. This event supplements the Pioneers of Portland Punk 1977-1984 exhibit, located in the Collins Gallery.

Take a mental health break at the library while chatting with new friends. Repetitive crafts can help you feel calm and relieve stress. Bring your own tedious project or try one of ours.

Do you love anime? Are you in middle school or high school? If so, join our Anime Club! We meet to discuss our favorite series, watch anime and eat snacks. We can talk about manga, do anime crafts, and more!

Explore various techniques used by African/Black artists, while incorporating your own style, led by artist Auzurea Caples.
