Experience a mesmerizing performance of buraanbur, a Somali form of dance, music, and poetry performed by and for women. Come learn about beautiful buraanbur and Somali culture, from the local artist and educator, Amina Abdirahman. This event will be in Soomalli and English. It is appropriate for women.

Join chef and owner of Finer Things Events and Catering, Michelle Guinn, along with her daughter, Sable Askew and take a trip back into history. Enjoy a cooking demonstration using traditional foods and recipes cooked by African Americans from the time of slavery, and explore their many modern interpretations.

Geared towards younger audiences, this interactive taiko performance features taiko songs, storytelling, education about different taiko drums and sounds that drums make, and an opportunity for the audience to play on the drums. Fun for the whole family!
