The John Wilson Special Collections includes archival collections. Most of these collections have finding aids. They can be used by appointment.

Our collections include the archives of the following authors, artists, and historical figures.

  • Barnard, Mary. Poet. One box.

  • Chamberlain, Sarah. Artist and Printer. Nine boxes.

  • Curtis, Walt. Author. One box.

  • DePol, John. Artist. Two boxes.

  • Dosch, Henry. Director of Exhibits for the 1905 Lewis and Clark Centennial Exposition the 1909 Alaska-Yukon-Pacific Exposition. The collection extends to his family, including journalist Arno Dosch. Over a hundred boxes.

  • Holbrook, Stewart. Author. Twelve boxes.

  • Drawings by Dorothy Swain of library patrons. One box.

  • Doves Press ephemera and correspondence collection. Two boxes.

  • Mary Francis Isom research from Penny Hummel. Two boxes.

  • Miscellaneous writers' letters. Mostly correspondence with library staff. One box.

  • Photographs of jazz musicians by Carl Henniger. One box.

  • Photographs of performers who were managed by Lois Steers. Three boxes.
