Weird women, girl-losers, and off-putting narrators
This list was created for a patron who loved Sky Daddy by Kate Folk. The following books feature characters of marginalized identities, primarily women, who are weird, off-putting, and outside societal norms. Weird fiction, literary fiction, horror, and magical realism abound. Happy reading!

Best books I've read in 2024, month by month, by My Librarian Diana
At the end of every month, I look over what I've read and pick the best, the jewel, the cream of the crop. At the end of the year, I try to choose the best book I've read this year.
The Best of Queer Horror
Nobody does horror like us! The LGBTQIA2S+ community knows what it's like to be made to feel monstrous, which makes for some of the most compelling horror novels. This collection is primarily by queer authors, about queer characters, but I threw the original Carmilla in there too because it's a classic. There's also some nonfiction titles about queer identities and the horror genre, and a few films as well!
