Enjoy traditional mariachi --"Musica Mexicana."  Enjoy the beautiful and enchanting rhythms and voices as the doors to the East County Library open to the public at 10AM. They will also be playing at the beginning of the ribbon cutting ceremony, which takes place from 9-10am on the North Plaza near the MAX station.

Celebrate the East County Library’s grand opening with a drop-in style art room for all ages with The Lamb Art Studio. Up to 20–30 participants can join at a time, with 200 total projects available. Activities range from 15-minute crafts to 1-hour projects. These include stencils, people of different cultures and flags representing Gresham’s diversity. There's also wooden animal painting!

Join us at the East County Library Creative Learning Room to make something cool, learn something new, and meet friendly people! Creative Learning staff and volunteers will be present to help you with STEAM based crafts and activities. Some of the creative learning equipment will be unavailable for use during this time.

Do you like to game? Are you in middle or high school? If so, join our gaming club! We'll play games, talk about games and eat snacks.

Join us for a laid-back community percussion jam! This casual get-together is open to everyone, whether you've been playing for years or just want to make some noise. Families and kids are welcome, no musical experience needed. A variety of drums and hand percussion instruments will be available for everyone to use! If you have a favorite drum or shaker at home, feel free to bring it along!

Join us for an inspiring performance from the J Chen Project, a dance company based in New York City. 

Acid Wash is an electronic/experimental music act based in Portland, Oregon. They're known for live beat sets and performances. They have made appearances at venues like A Beat Happening in October 2025. They are part of the Portland electronic, experimental, and alternative music scene.

Join Makola Performing Arts, led by Okaidja Afroso, for an hour of joyful song and dance! Okaidja brings joy, resilience, and belonging to community spaces through circle-based learning. Acclaimed singer, percussionist, guitarist and dancer Okaidja Afroso creates modern African music. He “is an artist with staying power” (Afropop Worldwide).
