Calling all teens in grades 6-12! Come make something cool, learn a new skill, and meet friendly people in this teen-focused creative space. Makerspace staff and volunteers will teach you how to use our tech equipment to design things and express yourself. Project examples include 3D printers, craft cutters, sewing machines, custom t shirts and tote bags, tons of art supplies for painting, jewelry making, and more.

Learn to play the guitar or ukulele in a welcoming environment! Open to ages 8 and up, this program lets you explore these instruments in 20-minute sessions with guidance from a dedicated instructor.

Improve your reading skills and make a new friend by reading aloud to a therapy dog. The dogs and handlers are from Alliance of Therapy Dogs, Dove Lewis Portland Area Canine Therapy Teams, Paws for Love, and Pet Partners®.

Join us for a middle school teen council. It’s a fun way to make new friends, earn volunteer hours by helping your library and your community — AND get free snacks! This program is specifically for youth in grades 6 through 8.

Join your friendly Kenton library staff to make special cards and crafts celebrating winter and the holidays! Come when you can, leave when you need to. Supplies will be provided. First come, first served. 

Please join us for a Repair Cafe at Midland Library! Volunteers will be ready to repair small appliances, toys, bikes, clothing, home decor, and jewelry.  

Repairs limited to one at a time per person. Please try to bring any useful parts or instruction manuals for the repair. Items can be admitted for repair until 2pm.

If you are interested in exploring the world of Role Playing Games (RPGs), come to a “one-shot” session to learn and have fun with ALife! A one-shot is a roleplaying game session designed to offer an engaging play experience and tell a satisfying story within a single sitting.

Intended for teens. Registration opens on November 15.

Comics come to life through the characters on the page. Join Wildfire cartoonist Breena Bard for this workshop demonstrating the basics of designing characters for comics. Then put your skills to work to create characters for your own comic!

This event is first come, first served.

Work on the DIY craft of the week, or do your own thing with our location's craft materials! Sew, paint, glue, make, design; the sky's your limit! Learn alongside others, share your knowledge and explore new ways of making things!

Teens: Guide your Hillsdale library spaces and programs while helping people in your community! Hang out with friends, play Nintendo Switch and board games, and eat snacks.

This is a volunteer position and snacks will be provided.  Open to teens 6th through 12th grade.
