Calling all teens in grades 6-12! Come make something cool, learn a new skill, and meet friendly people in this teen-focused creative space. Makerspace staff and volunteers will teach you how to use our tech equipment to design things and express yourself. Project examples include 3D printers, craft cutters, sewing machines, custom t shirts and tote bags, tons of art supplies for painting, jewelry making, and more.
Guitar & Ukulele Lessons
Learn to play the guitar or ukulele in a welcoming environment! Open to ages 8 and up, this program lets you explore these instruments in 20-minute sessions with guidance from a dedicated instructor.

Learn how to craft music on the digital audio workstation, Ableton Live. Discover the fundamentals of beat-making, sound design and arranging tracks. Mix samples, use MIDI instruments, and find effects to shape your own sound.
Novices or experienced producers are all welcome to learn in this creative session. Gain valuable insights and techniques for enhancing your music production skills. Bring your musical ideas to life!
3T DnD: Teen Table Top Games
Join us for Teen Dungeons and Dragons at the East County Library! Create your character and work with your friends to solve mysteries, fight bad guys, and get the loot! There will be snacks!

Read to the Dogs
Improve your reading skills and make a new friend by reading aloud to a therapy dog. The dogs and handlers are from Alliance of Therapy Dogs, Dove Lewis Portland Area Canine Therapy Teams, Paws for Love, and Pet Partners®.

Summertime Spiral Bookbind
Join us for a summer afternoon of crafting and conversation! Repurpose discarded books, recyclables, and paper to create your own spiral bound journal! Bring any paper scrap materials from home, but everything you need will be provided.
This event is open to all ages and will have limited space and materials available - it is first come, first served.
Ribbon Skirt Workshop
Learn how to create your own ribbon skirts from start to finish! Measure fabric and select ribbons to sew your project to take home. This workshop welcomes all levels of sewing experience. Join an opportunity to celebrate your tribal heritage and culture in a supportive, creative space. Presented by Native library staff. Materials will be provided, but participants are welcome to bring their own.
