Tour the new East County Library and learn about services for homeschooling families, including the homeschool curriculum collection. Attendees may also want to register for the Kids and Family Maker Time - Homeschool from 1-3 pm in the Creative Learning Room.

No registration is required for this event. 

Space is limited; Every participant must be signed up in advance to reserve a spot.

Come create with us! Step into the East County Library Creative Learning Room to tinker, learn, and connect with fellow makers in our community.

Use a 3D printer and get help from staff on creating a project of your choice (subject to time limits). No experience necessary! A selection of colors of PLA will be available for you to use.

Space is limited and registration is required. Registration opens August 27.

Children in grades 5 and under must be accompanied by an attentive teen or adult.

Calling all teens in grades 6-12! Come make something cool, learn a new skill, and meet friendly people in this teen-focused creative space. Makerspace staff and volunteers will teach you how to use our tech equipment to design things and express yourself. Project examples include 3D printers, craft cutters, sewing machines, custom t shirts and tote bags, tons of art supplies for painting, jewelry making, and more.

Do you like to game? Are you in middle or high school? If so, join our gaming club! We'll play games, talk about games and eat snacks.

Teens, step into the role of an ecological designer by learning to view the local landscape as living art! Explore the Japanese technique of Hapa Zome with Vessel Gardens! Identify local plants for pigment and transfer their patterns onto fabric! Learn the principles of sustainable harvesting and plant identification.

Learn to play the violin in a welcoming environment! Open to ages 8 and up, this program lets you explore the instrument with guidance from a dedicated instructor.

Pull up and join recording studio EXT.606 at the East County Library as we explore making beats, sample chopping, and music creation.

All of the tools to create are provided. Bring a project to work on, or come to learn how to get started.
