Join us to spark your curiosity and dive into the electrifying world of electronics! In this weeklong adventure, you'll uncover the secrets of electricity, build circuits from scratch, and even create your own batteries using basic chemistry. No prior programming experience needed – we'll guide you every step of the way. Get hands-on as you learn to solder and program Arduinos with circuits you design.

Use a Glowforge laser cutter to engrave and cut designs out of acrylic or wood, with assistance from staff and volunteers. No experience needed! A selection of laser-safe materials will be available for you to use.

Space is limited and registration is required. Registration opens June 24.

Children in grades 5 and under must be accompanied by an attentive teen or adult.

This program will focus exclusively on an introduction to laser engraving. As a result, other equipment will not be available for public use during this time. Bring your ideas and make them a reality! Join us at the Creative Learning Room to make something cool, learn a new skill, and meet friendly people.

Pretend that an evil landlord is about to close the doors on your beloved library. You and your friends are the only hope for keeping the doors open with the help of Tinker Camp, a nonprofit dedicated to STEAM education in your community. You decide that the best way to save the building is to create an arcade of games and invite the neighbors to come and play to raise the rent!

Use a 3D printer and get help from staff on creating a project of your choice (subject to time limits). No experience necessary! A selection of colors of PLA will be available for you to use.

June: Collaborative Art (quilt, collage, collaborative drawing, gratitude tree, etc.)

August: Afternoon Art take home craft (exploring watercolors, sculpture with air dry clay, pom pom animals, collage, etc.)

Have fun exploring the world of science, technology, engineering, and math with 8-10 hands-on activities from STEM Like a Girl. This program is intended for 3rd - 5th graders with a grown up so get ready to work alongside your youth! Participants will get to take home their designs and experiments, too!
