Join Portland family performer Red Yarn and his lovable critter puppets on a gardening adventure! With folksongs and roots-rock originals about gardens, vegetables, and the sneaky animals who love them, Red Yarn & the Critters will get audiences singing and dancing along. Meanwhile, puppet skits will explore themes like sharing nature's bounty and planting seeds of hope for the future.

Portland Insectarium is the city's first museum and zoo dedicated entirely to bugs! In this program there will be a selection of live bugs on display, such as tarantulas, mantises, and scorpions! Some are touchable bugs (roaches, isopods, millipedes), others preserved insect displays. Toys and other activities will be there to explore, plus experts to answer any questions! Suitable for all ages.

Walnut Ink is a gracefully beautiful painting and drawing material for artists of all skill levels to explore. Students will learn painting and composition techniques while creating unique small artworks.

Families are invited to try circus skills together, led by experienced instructors from Circus Cascadia. The goal of a family circus workshop is to get parents and children playing together! It can include tightrope, walking globe, juggling scarves, flowersticks and other circus equipment. The workshop can begin with a scarf circle as a whole group, followed by a more freeform structure of guided exploration and play.

Join Whiskers and Tails for a heartwarming day of rabbit-assisted wellness and learning. Experience the calming presence of rabbits through guided interactions. A gentle, enriching event designed to promote relaxation, connection, and emotional well-being for all ages. 

Space is limited and attendees will rotate out after 15 minutes if other patrons are waiting.
