I am most drawn to books that blend visual marvels in with the text such as slice of life graphic novels with storylines about everyday experiences. I love children’s books featuring breathtaking illustrations.

I also enjoy adult fiction told from the perspective of marginalized characters that delve into themes of identity and overcoming adversity.

There will always be a special place in my nostalgic heart for young adult books published in the early 2000’s.
