I’ve spent a lot of the last eighteen years singing to babies and chatting with kids about Star Wars, Elephant & Piggie and Harry Potter. As a youth librarian, I’ve read all kinds of literature from board books for toddlers to juicy true stories for teens. Young adult literature has been a career-long passion, and I especially enjoy humorous books, memoirs, science, history, historical fiction and mysteries for teens. I have been into mysteries since I was a kid and as an adult, I read a lot of British police procedurals. I love books about relationships, and give me a memoir about someone with an unusual career, passion, or situation and I’m in literary heaven!
I knew I was destined to become a librarian from eight years old when my brother and I ran a library out of the garage using books from our own personal collections. I have also been an Anglophile from a young age when I first was exposed to Winnie-the-Pooh and Paddington Bear. I’ve been to England, Scotland and Wales and have more trips to the UK in the works.
When I’m not reading or dreaming of the UK, I’m crafting, watching pro football, hiking in the woods, and spending time at the beach.
