I come from a long line of librarians. My reading revolves around children’s and teen books, from picture books to graphic novels to middle grade and high school fiction. Occasionally I squeeze in an adult read, usually literary fiction and mysteries (not too violent though).
When not reading, I’m cooking, listening to podcasts, getting outside, and traveling.
One day when Beverly Cleary was working as a children’s librarian in Yakima, Washington, a boy asked her, “Where are the books about kids like us?” So she created Henry Huggins, Ramona Quimby, and more. Here are some other books with kids like you. P.S. most of these books are first in a series.
