What some people call nosy, I call curious. Reading allows me to get inside other people’s heads without appearing to be rude.
I admire tiny-houses and tiny dogs, though I own neither. I enjoy going long distances by bike, foot, kayak and other means of self-propulsion, so I listen to lots of audiobooks and podcasts. I’m a fan of outsider stories, ghost stories, coming-of-age stories, and stories of the absurd and the apocalypse. Some of my recent favorites have been Colum McCann's TransAtlantic, Larry Watson's Let Him Go and Amanda Coplin's The Orchardist.
I love that moment when you realize that a book you're reading is one you’re going to remember for years to come; even better is connecting someone to a memorable read — it’s the part of my job I live for.
