Sylvia Plath was a talented and complicated woman. You may begin with her poetry and find yourself immersed in her journals. Or maybe you start with biographies of her marriage and move on to The Bell Jar. You could go round and round with her as a subject for a long time.

If you love the intensity of Cormac McCarthy, the vividness of Hemingway and the experimental writing of many of the modern Latin American authors, give some of these titles a try.
